I'll admit it. I'm a sucker for good customer service. My 6 year old SUV died on me on a Saturday afternoon. Trying to find a service station that was a) convenient and b) open on a Saturday was not a simple task. I saw good reviews here and gave them a call. They called me first thing Monday morning to discuss what I thought was wrong, then called me that afternoon with their assessment. Always very professional and polite without being pushy. I called around to dealership services since it was a major repair, and M-A Shell was comparably priced. We had them do the work and it was done almost one day before they estimated, which is huge when you are renting a car each day yours is out of commission. oh, and my car was clean when I picked it up. Yay! I will definitely use them in the future for car service.

In the past week, I had the pleasure of working with Al, the service manager. My oil drain plug had been stripped and because I was not satisfied with their service in the past, they offered to fix it for me for free. I would like to commend them for stepping up and not only taking responsibility, but for making it a very pleasant experience. They went above and beyond to make me happy. I am, and I am once again a fan of Menlo-Atherton Shell. Thanks for everything you did for me this week!

I cannot recommend these guys enough! I have been going here for the last 4 years for every tune-up, oil change, engine repair and tire repair, for our 2 family vehicles. Prices are reasonable and estimates are honest. They do not recommend unnecessary repairs, or try to up-sell you, as other repair shops may do. Every repair is on schedule and no expensive surprises. I have total confidence in their work. Al and Tony provide great customer service and give a friendly small town feel to their shop, on busy El Camino.

I got my brakes repaired here this weekend and was pretty pleased with the service. Tony answered the phone at 7:45am on Saturday when I called to inquire about bringing in my car and told me to bring in right in! I got there at 8 and was not the first car in line, but they seemed to have a good system. I again spoke to Tony about my front brakes that were in bad need of repair and he told me not to worry and that it would most likely be done by three. 10am= the diagnosis 1pm= the car was ready I couldn't pick it up on Saturday, but had no trouble getting it Sunday am. They recommended other services, but they seemed a bit pricey, so I'll do my homework and maybe be back soon. Overall, pretty good : )

Great experience today. Stopped by without an appointment for a tire repair (slow leak). Tony had one of the guys take a look at it immediately. Julio did the job very carefully & quickly, and had me on my way in ~15 minutes. And all at a very reasonable price. When I have more serious car issues in the future, these guys will be my first stop.

When I went to pick up my truck at 5:30 this evening, the gentleman behind the counter gave me my invoice and I noticed it was not correct. The invoice charged me for two wheel alignments for a total amount of $129.95. Alan had told me he was going to deduct this amount from my invoice. The person behind the counter than told me I could not take my truck because he had no way of verifying Alan's remark. That is when he began getting huffy and raising his voice at me. I found this is to be very rude and disrespectful. So, I raised my voice at him and told him I was not leaving without my truck. He never made an offer to try to reach anybody to verify what I was saying. I insisted he get on the phone and call Alan, which he very hesitantly did. It is very disappointing to end my day dealing with someone who, rather than taking the iniative to find an answer, would rather cause a confrontation with a customer. I understand you have rules in your business, but a well run business that purports to offer good customer service should realize that sometimes the customer is right. It is not like I am a first time customer. You have worked on our vehicles for years. You also provide service to my son, Michael Lindquist's and his wife Parrie's cars as well.
