I have consistently received excellent service.

Honest, friendly, down-to-earth. We always go here for any serious repairs if we possibly can. They've been tested over and over by our family--they always recommend the cheapest repair or tell you that you don't need it or say exactly how long you can go with something before it'll need attention. They're actually honest, and I'm sorry to insult the whole auto repair industry by repeating that over and over like M-A Shell are some kind of shining exception to the average cesspit of auto repair dishonesty... but they are. To balance that out, though, they're crammed with customers constantly and it takes pretty much a day for anything to get done on the weekend. EDIT: I should add, after reading the other reviews, that I don't think they're catering to the rich only---we've been going to M-A Shell since we were po' and they've always been great.

I have been a regular customer for over 5 Years. Dan's excellent staff compliments his business, efficient, professional, and on time. What else could you ask for.

I have had not merely good, but spectacularly good, experiences at this repair shop. After my Audi dealer quoted me $256 to replace a halogen headlight bulb (supposedly because they had to pull the front bumper), I went to M-A Shell. They got the bulb within a few hours and did the job for $90. Not only that, but they also fixed my ashtray, which had been stuck shut for a year -- and didn't charge me for that! (The dealer had said that they'd have to pull the entire dashboard, and that it would cost me something like $500.) A week ago when I started my car the "check coolant" light went on. I turned off the engine and read my owner's guide for a few minutes, then turned the engine back on -- no more coolant light, but I drove to M-A Shell. They told me that my coolant level was probably down to near where the sensor was located and put some water into the radiator. No charge! And no recurrence of the problem! These guys are honest, smart and conservative.

Always loved this place but last visit: (1) the person who took the appointment (after hours) was abrupt to the point of rudness, and (2) car smelled of gasoline when I picked it up -- maybe just a spill from putting in the gas. But I've always trusted their repairs and their advice.
